Me.
Chris Bosch grew up in a small town in the east of the Netherlands called Zevenaar. In high school, his fascination for illustration and graphic design began by using the schoolbooks in a way the school not intended. He was more invested in designing covers for them instead of paying attention in class.
Now, many years in the future, Chris creates visuals through his wide range of styles with a graphical touch. He is an illustrator who can do graphic design and a graphic designer who can illustrate. With his curious mindset, he observes and explores the visual world of both. One week he can be fascinated by the New Yorker covers, the next week by hip-hop album covers, and the other he thinks the letter 'g' in the Patagonia logo is the best ‘g’ ever created and so on.
Chris is a maker who is obsessed with lines, geometric shapes and letters. The shapes and rules in graphic design are the foundation for his illustrations. He applies those rules to take his illustrations to another level. His work is expressive, graphical and playful. By adding a good amount of flow in his work, he wants to grab attention of the viewer and convey the message. The topics are often related to music, sports or social topics. Often the work is straight forward. What you see, is what you get.
Whether it is an illustration, logo, animation, editorial, visual identity poster, hand lettering or a package. With his creative toolkit, Chris is always on the hunt for his next creative challenge.
